The Azerbaijan Tourism Board (ATB) has organized a familiarization trip for 10 leading tourism companies from Israel.
The purpose of the visit is to showcase Azerbaijan’s tourism opportunities and strengthen cooperation with the Israeli tourism market.
On September 9, a B2B networking event was held with the participation of 60 local tourism companies to expand partnership relations.
As part of the program, participants explored tourism opportunities in Baku, Shamakhi, and Gabala, including hotel inspections, a golf masterclass, a visit to the “Tufandag” Winter-Summer Tourism Resort, and various cultural heritage and historical sites.
In 2024, a total of 28,955 Israeli citizens visited Azerbaijan. In the first half of 2025, 23,534 Israeli citizens traveled to the country - almost double compared to the same period last year.
To further promote Azerbaijan’s tourism potential, the Azerbaijan Tourism Board has actively participated in a number of major events in Israel this year. These included a series of events in Haifa and Tel Aviv, the International Mediterranean Tourism Market (IMTM) exhibition in Tel Aviv, as well as the “Tel Aviv EAT” food festival.
